- Meia horinha de Foals
- Quinze minutos iniciais do Offspring (se eles tocarem “Come Out and Play” no início, já era…)
- Mais quinze minutinhos de Mylo
- Todo o show do Spoon
- Quinze minutos de Calvin Harris
- Quinze minutos de Bloc Party
- Todo o show das Breeders - ou, se ficar chato, emendar com o Felix da Housecat
- E pegar a finaleira do Kaiser Chiefs, pra dizer que vi.

Cada um tem suas prioridades - essas são as minhas.

Tim x Terra

É o embate dos festivais, versão 2008. Se no ano passado o Timfa teve uma edição morna (suas principais atrações tinham mais de uma década de existência) e uma edição caótica em São Paulo, o novato Terra ousou no formato, preço e escalação, embora tenha errado no nome para fechar a noite. Agora que as edições deste ano estão aos poucos chegando aos finalmentes, dá pra botar frente a frente as principais atrações anunciadas pro Tim e as especulações mais ou menos confirmadas pro Terra.

Descartando, claro, todo o palco de jazz do Timfa, que não tem nada a ver com o corte do Terra. Mesmo assim, o Timfa ainda aumenta sua vantagem ao não encontrar nenhum rival pop à altura de Kanye West, além dos queridinhos da crítica Neon Neon (o projeto eletrônico do carinha do Super Furry Animals) e o Dan Deacon. Mas lembre-se que o Terra não oficializou seu elenco, por isso seus astros são fruto de especulação e algum nome pode aparecer - ou desaparecer - do elenco quando o anúncio vier de verdade (as vendas, ao que parece, começam amanhã). E ao mesmo tempo não custa lembrar que ano passado o Terra também teve uma tenda de música eletrônica - até então, sem nomes sequer especulados.

Por outro lado, o embate entre estrutura de festival favorece o Terra - ainda mais depois do mico da edição paulista do Tim Festival do ano passado (no Rio, tudo nos conformes). O único ponto negativo que consigo lembrar desta parte no Terra do ano passado foi a distância do lugar dos shows, mas até aí, isso é o de menos. O Timfa vai ter que rebolar pra fazer uma edição decente esse ano. Isso sem mencionar os preços e traduzir isso em relação custo/benefício…

Mas se for pra ser apenas passional, não tinha nem ter que começado essa conversa: a vinda do Jesus & Mary Chain é um trunfo histórico do Terra, que o Timfa sequer conseguiu arranhar. Nada no Tim Festival desse ano é propriamente imperdível (vá lá, tem o Sonny Rollins), enquanto a oportunidade de ver uma das bandas que configurou o rock atual só poderia ser ofuscada por um monstro sagrado do rock clássico (Neil Young, Van Morrison, Leonard Cohen) ou um de seus compadres de geração (Cure, R.E.M., Sonic Youth, a volta dos Smiths).

Quem sabe, 2009.

Festivália

Falando nisso, semana que vem começa o semestre dos festivais, com o Eletronika em Belo Horizonte, com Hurtmold (e, DIZEM, Marcelo Camelo), Twelves, Fernanda Takai e a menina do Pizzicato Five, Macaco Bong, Instituto fase Racional, Pex BaA, Takara, Vanguart, Curumin, Guizado, Monno e Mallu, entre outros, em Belo Horizonte. Depois tem o Melvins, Plasticines e Hives no tal do Orloff 5 e, mais tarde, tem o Skol Beats (que inspira a grande pergunta: o que fazer entre o Justice e o Digitalism?). Depois tem a Invasão Sueca com Shout Out Louds e Peter Bjorn & John (os ingressos pro show de São Paulo já estão à venda, viu), ao mesmo tempo em que rola o Coquetel Molotov em Recife. Junta isso com um Timfa já com Sonny Rollins, Klaxons, Kanye West, o National e o MGMT, entre outros, um Planeta Terra que além de Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs, Jesus & Mary Chain, Animal Collective, Spoon, Foals ainda periga ter uns nomes que o Lucio andou cantando alto (Sonic Youth tocando Daydream Nation? Breeders? Kylie?) e possíveis shows do R.E.M., do Mudhoney e do Nine Inch Nails na paralela. Fora um Goiânia Noise que vai ter Black Lips, Vaselines, Black Mountain e Circle Jerks.

Nada mal, hein?

Animal Collective no Brasil

Seguem as confirmações de shows gringos para o Brasil: agora é a vez do Animal Collective, que muita gente acha a melhor coisa de música no planeta atualmente, mas eu acho uma banda bem fuleira, superestimada até dar com o pau. Enfim, tem quem goste - e eles tocam no Planeta Terra desse ano (vai ser a hora pra calibrar a bebida, certamente…). Mas se até o Dago, o maior fã da banda no Brasil, acha que o show não vai ser legal…
