Lei de Murphy

Depois do show do Clã e de discotecar na Livraria Cultura, sábado ainda dei um pulo no Smirnoff Experience, mas só consegui assistir ao set do James Murphy. O lugar não era dos melhores, o público era essencialmente o mesmo da Pachá, mais interessado em ser visto do que no evento em si, e, pra piorar as coisas, choveu. Vazei depois do Mr. Murphy e perdi o show do Yatch e o set do Joe Goddard, do Hot Chip. Paciência.

LCD Soundsystem 2010?

O disco “costa oeste” do LCD Soundsystem ainda não tem nome, deve sair só em março do ano que vem, foi gravado em uma mansão em Los Angeles e James Murphy lamenta não conseguir antecipar seu lançamento, pois ele o considera forte candidato a disco da década. Modéstia, sabemos, é qualidade de quem não tem mais nenhuma outra, e também sabemos quais são as da banda do senhor Murphy, um dos nomes mais importantes da primeira década do século. “Bye Bye Bayou”, primeira faixa do grupo a dar as caras depois do Sound of Silver (o Livio lembrou que a faixa recém-lançada saiu num single em homenagem ao Alan Vega, do Suicide, autor de “Bye Bye Bayou”, que não fará parte do terceiro disco), as traz em primeiro plano, embora sem pegar na veia. Mas tá tudo lá - beat insistente, disco music via krautrock, vocal blasé, baixão, ritmo derretendo a cabeça. Não é a faixa pra colocar esse novo disco no mapa - é só pra avisar que eles já despontaram no horizonte. Dica do Fubah, da Funhell.

Recém-paulistanizado, o catarina Tiago Agostini ouviu o questionamento acima de uma conterrânea e compilou faixas onipresentes nas pistas de dança de indie rock de São Paulo em dois arquivos. Algumas (como ele mesmo diz “‘Surfin’ Bird’ com os Raimundos”, por exemplo) passam longe do estereótipo, mas no geral a coletânea dá uma boa idéia de como dançam os indies - e, independente de pista, ficou bem boa.
