No próximo dia 11, o Pitchfork – a iniciativa mais bem sucedida de crítica musical em tempos de internet – dá seu primeiro passo rumo ao mundo das publicações impressas. E como fruto da época do MP3, em vez de indicar discos, o site lista as 500 músicas que mudaram a cara do mundo a partir do nascimento da atual cultura independente, com o punk rock no guia Pitchfork 500. Apesar de não relacionar a lista com as 500 músicas, os caras dão uma palhinha no site que fizeram para o guia, onde colocaram um player que (palha) só toca se você estiver nos EUA (dá pra arrumar umas gambiarras pra burlar isso, mas é dar muita importância, né…) – e neste player tem “I Feel Love”, “Guns of Brixton”, “Atmosphere”, “That’s the Joint”, “Holiday”, “Rebel Without a Pause”, “Common People”, “Say It Ain’t So”, “Rid of Me”, “One More Time” – mais um monte de músicas que nem com muita boa vontade entram numa lista das 5000 melhores músicas deste século, mas, sacumé lista… Quem estiver curioso, dá pra fazer a pré-compra aqui.
