“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, look at all the lonely people…”

E por falar em Soulwax, o Bruno linkou o remix que a dupla belga fez para o clássico que Paul compôs para o Revolver (cujo manuscrito que inspirou a faixa foi recentemente comprado por 115 mil libras). O remix em si não é genial - mas é bem bom. Vale salientar os pontos que o I Hope Your Ears Bleed comentou:

- DRUMS?!??
- instrumental
- works with the original flow of the song
- keeps some of the stereo effects of the original piece
- very electronic sounding
- about the same length as the original song

Ou não concordam?

O Igor e o Lucas lembraram que os beats da música são, na verdade, de “Tour de France”, do Kraftwerk. Mais uma vez os pioneiros da renascença do mashup deixando sua marca…

Lily Allen x Soulwax?

Tem gente que acha Lily Allen besta, eu gosto - é o tipo de som que deveria estar tocando no rádio, pop que agrada as pessoas sem agredir a inteligência e que independe da geração ou gênero favorito do ouvinte. Desde que ela começou seu relacionamento com o Chemical Brother Ed Simons (a saber: ela engravidou e depois abortou, eles se separaram, voltaram e vão morar juntos) passou a flertar com a música eletrônica e lançar umas músicas bem boas - e bem diferentes do clima ensolarado de seu primeiro disco. E, no meio de uma entrevista para o blog francês Fluo Kids, ela mostra que só começou nesse novo metiê:

Dá pra sacar direitinho o groove deixando de ser aquela base repetida distorcida que linka com a versão deles pro hit do Gossip (falando nisso, nunca linkei o mashup Gente Bonita pressa música com o hit do Blur, né? Part of the Weekend Never Dies

Por falar em Soulwax, vocês tão sabendo do Part of the Weekend Never Dies, dos caras? Rodou o circuito de festivais no verão no hemisfério norte e daqui a pouco tá saindo em DVD (lá fora). A idéia é o oposto do DVD dos Beastie Boys - enquanto o Awesome era um show filmado com um monte de câmeras, o Part… são várias apresentações dos belgas filmadas com apenas uma câmera. Istaile.

Remix Soulwax é quase sempre certeza de reconstrução bem sucedida, mas isso que eles fizeram com “Hey Boy, Hey Girl” dos Chemical Brothers desequilibra TUDO. Os caras pegaram a música e deixaram ela com cara de 2008. Alguém anotou a placa do caminhão? Incrível, dizaê.
